A fairly straight forward legal issue.</p> <p><a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/mid/7304844.stm">http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/mid/7304844.stm</a></p> <p>But, it's a mobile phone mast. So naturally some ignorant fool gets quoted as saying:</p> <p>"The mast is close to a pub and local residents live on the opposite side of the road. People have fears about radiation from the mast, and the effect particularly on children."</p> <p>Somehow I picture the first few scenes of 2001: A Space Odyssey.</p> <p>Well, what do I know? Maybe the mast is a gamma emitter. Maybe this village is 1km below ground, safe from many other forms of radiation.</p> <p>Maybe I can start a petition to stop the radiation being emitted by the local commercial radio station? I find it's crass commercialism and never-ending generic pop music nauseating.
